Happy MLK Day, lovelies! I hope you all had a lovely long weekend!

Mine involved shopping for cowboy boots that are way outside my budget (a girl can dream about candy apple red stingray Lucchese classics, right?), wandering around beauuuuutiful Park City, watching the Bobsled World Championship (the perks of living in Utah…), ziplining, jumping off 5-story platforms, eating my weight in junk food, binge watching almost all of Making a Murderer (IS THIS SHOW ABSOLUTELY KILLING ANYONE ELSE?!?!), playing with puppies, and sleeping in.

So I guess you could say my weekend was pretty swell. :)

And to top it off, I’m FINALLY getting to post about one of my favorite t-shirts. (Full disclosure: I probably have about 50 t-shirts, so that’s really saying something.)

A few months ago, my friend Anna sent me a link to a really cool, clever t-shirt on Etsy. “Be-UTAH-Ful” it read. I HAD TO HAVE IT. Since I am alllll about anyone and anything that shares my growing love for Utah, I kind of freaked out about how cool the shirt was.

But at the time I was hella poor and kind of forgot about the shirt for a while. Christmas came around, and I couldn’t find the thing I originally wanted to get Anna. So I thought, “hey, what about that shirt we both freaked out about a few months ago?”

I tracked the original Etsy shop down and realized that they now have the same shirt in the PRETTIEST mint color I had ever seen. So, long story short, not only did I treat Anna to a really cool t-shirt, but I treated myself as well. Ain’t nothin wrong with that.

Anna and I have super duper different styles, so I thought it’d be fun for both of us to style the shirt in our own way and then do a photoshoot with our outfits. So that is exactly what we did, and now here we are!

Here’s what Anna came up with:

Alright, can we all take a moment to appreciate how the lining in Anna’s jacket complements the t-shirt’s color? I have no idea if Anna did that on purpose, but I’m kind of obsessed with how the teal and mint go together sooooo well.

And on top of that, the colors in Anna’s jacket, belt, and boots go together perfectly. This outfit is PROOF that you can—and should—mix warm colors (brown and mustard yellow in this case) with cool colors (mint and teal).

In other news, Anna really is too cool for school, and her hat and shades freakin’ prove that.

I love how bright and happy the color of the shirt is, so I wanted to keep my outfit super light and airy but still warm and cozy because it was literally 25 degrees when we took these photos. If you don’t believe me, just look at how crazy I look in this photo…..

MY FINGERS WERE FREEZING AND ABOUT TO FALL OFF, OKAY?!

Anyway, so to achieve everything I wanted to with this outfit, I layered a denim shirt underneath the Be-Utah-Ful tee and threw a Free People duster on over both pieces. I went with a light pair of jeans to match the denim top, and went with grey booties because black was just NOT gonna work.

Other than my poor fingers, I stayed super warm in this outfit. PROOF that you don’t need to wear huge heavy layers to look cute and stay warm during the winter!

Aaaaand even if you don’t share my undying love for Utah, I still recommend taking a look at CoLab Print’s shop. Anyone who loves the outdoors and cool t-shirts will love their stuff!
