So, this weekend I went to San Diego and it was glorious. The weather was perfect, the beach was beautiful, and the entire trip was way too short.
I didn’t take very many pictures on the trip (which is surprising because I usually have my camera on me all the time), but the pictures I did take turned out pretty nice!
In addition to getting really sunburned, we also ate tons of Mexican food and got a little spiritual at Salvation Mountain on our way back to Utah.
Suffice it to say, I’m pretty bummed about having to go back to work this morning. I just want to be back on the beach without a care in the world!
In an effort to get myself excited about being back in the office, I decided to get a little creative with my work outfit for today.
I got this skirt when I was in Texas a few months ago. It’s Michael Kors, and it was on sale for like, 75% off. I absolutely love the color orange and you guys know I’m obsessed with Michael Kors, so this was pretty much a no-brainer purchase.
But I’ve been worried that I wouldn’t be able to wear the skirt with cowboy boots. It’s pretty structured, after all, and I find that sometimes thick, nautical stripes clash with boots. Then I realized that my crocodile Canty boots would be absolutely perfect for this skirt!
The dark denim complements the boots’ rugged style, and the colors all tie together really well. The denim and boots don’t exactly match the colors in the skirt, but they really pull out the pretty colors in the skirt.
I got the skirt at Dillard’s (sold out there, but you can still get it at Lord and Taylor) and the shirt at Forever21. The darling boots are Canty! If you haven’t already gotten yourself a pair, take this post as a sign that you need to treat yo’self right now!
Have a lovely Tuesday, y’all!
