Happy Monday, all! I don’t know about you, but my weekend went by way too quickly. It seems like just 5 minutes ago I was leaving work all excited for the weekend and now I’m getting ready to go back…being a grownup is SO not fair!
Anyway, I have a serious case of the Monday blues, so I thought the perfect way to banish them was with a lovely men’s post! My friend Cody was nice enough to let me shoot some photos of him a few weeks ago when I was in St. George, and I’m sad that it’s taken me so stinkin’ long to get them on the blog!
I met Cody about 4 years ago when I was in El Centro, California visiting some family. My mom and his dad actually dated in high school, so they introduced us and we became friends! Now he lives in Utah and is just a few weeks away from getting married! Hooray!
Even though he’s made the move to the bustling metropolis of St. George, Cody’s a country kid at heart. He worked at his grandpa’s feed lot growing up, and he also worked at a hay export company. AND he’s also done a little bit of rodeoing, so he’s pretty much the perfect person to put on the blog.
So, I really like Cody’s outfit because A) it’s mostly blue, so it’s great at banishing the Monday blues, and B) it’s really versatile, and I’m all about versatility!
The shirt is simple. It goes great with jeans, but you could also wear it with different colors of slacks. It’s also awesome because it can be dressed up or down. Cody dressed the shirt down by wearing a hat, but he easily could throw on a suit coat and give the outfit a more classy spin!
And of course the cowboy boots just put the perfect finishing touch on it.
The boots are Justin—I absolutely LOVE the calfskin! It really adds a soft touch to a more rugged boot. The jeans are Ariat and the shirt is from Wrangler’s George Strait Cowboy Cut Collection. I couldn’t find the exact shirt, but this one is similar!
Hopefully this outfit will help you get your week off to a lovely start! Peace and blessins, y’all!
